A peek at the success of the GRETh 2023 Technical Days!
The 2023 edition of the Technical Days once again exceeded expectations in terms of attendance, bringing together almost 100 participants - the maximum capacity of the hall - for two intense days of exchanges and discoveries.
On November 15 and 16, Aix-les-Bains became a focal point for industrialists and researchers from laboratories and companies in France and abroad, who were all interested in heat exchangers and thermal systems.
Participants had the privilege of attending numerous technical presentations, taking part in BtoB kakemono sessions, and exchanging ideas with the GRETh. The topics, at the cutting edge of research and development, covered a variety of fields, with a particular focus on hydrogen, a topical subject, with three presentations detailing the experimental characterization of exchangers operating with hydrogen, and the implementation and development aspects in the context of hydrogen in on-board situations.
The Technical Days also served as a showcase for innovative know-how, instructive feedback and the latest advances in industrial and academic research. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including innovative thermodynamic cycles, the development of thermal components through additive manufacturing, cutting-edge approaches to characterizing complex thermal-hydraulic phenomena, and the current state of development of fouling detection sensors.
Record attendance and the enthusiasm demonstrated by the many questions asked after each presentation attest to the dynamism of the field and the relevance of the work presented.
The kakemono session, an ideal opportunity for discussion between participants, was a great success this year, with an enlarged dedicated area and the participation of 14 companies exhibiting their know-how.
The first day focused on the GRETh, provided a comprehensive retrospective of work carried out in 2023, covering scientific intelligence, software development and the roll-out of the new website. It also provided an opportunity to exchange views on the future direction of the GRETh, discussed and validated by members via the annual vote of interest in the actions to be undertaken. The growing success of this first day testifies to the growing interest in the GRETh with its members.
Team GRETh would like to thank all the participants, both members and non-members, as well as all the speakers who have helped to make these days a unique annual event that is constantly renewed and relevant.
