Test platform : High power
GRETh and CERG, experts in heat engineering and fluid mechanics respectively, have decided to form a partnership to meet the demands of high-power heat exchanger testing.
Experimental characterization of the performance of heat exchangers, particularly high-power heat exchangers, calls for considerable expertise in :
- the exchangers themselves, through the diversity of existing and future technologies,
- measurements via the choice of sensors, compliance with installation rules, etc,
- carrying out tests by drawing up and complying with experimental plans...,
- analysis and processing of thermal and hydraulic measurement results, in particular for the characterization of exchanger capacities and overall exchange coefficients, but also for the establishment of correlations, empirical laws widely used in heat exchanger design for the evaluation of partial exchange coefficients.
We also need to be able to carry out these tests, which inevitably require sufficiently large premises and a range of components to be used in high-power thermal power generation or heat dissipation loops.
Features of the test platform
The following are some of the usual test characteristics that can be achieved, bearing in mind that any request is specific and may be the subject of a technical and commercial proposal.
- Fluids : Water, oils and heat transfer fluids, flammable liquids...
- Min/max temperature : Ambient and up to 180°
- Heating/cooling capacity : up to 10 MW
- Operating pressure : Atmospheric pressure at 20 bar
- Flow rate: From 1 m3/h to 100,000 m3/h
Don't hesitate to contact us for further information, or simply to discuss your requirements and receive a technical-commercial proposal.
