Active members of the Association may be French or foreign legal entities under public or private law, and natural persons who support the Association's purpose as defined in its Statutes, active participate regularly in its activities and pay an annual active membership fee.

Chairman & Administrator - Christophe MARVILLET - ENSIATE (ENseignement Supérieur d'Ingénierie Appliquée aux Transitions Energétiques & Numérique) | |
Christophe MARVILLET, began his career as an engineer at CEA working on seawater desalination issues. Laboratory manager at CEA/GRETh until 1999, he was then seconded to ANVAR for 3 years as business manager and Technology Development Advisor in the PACA region. In 2006, he returned to the CEA as head of the GRETh department, before taking up the post of Head of the Thermal Laboratory at CIAT's Research and Innovation Center until 2011, when he was appointed Professor of Applied Energy at the CNAM Paris (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers) and Director of IFFI. He will hold this position until 2023, when he becomes Head of Pedagogy at ENSIATE. Since 2008, Christophe MARVILLET has also been in charge of GRETh as the Chairman. |
Vice-Chairman & Administrator - Jean-Michel HUGO - TEMISTh | |
Jean-Michel HUGO is a PhD engineer in energetic mechanics specializing in numerical methods (CFD) for heat exchanger design. From 2008 to 2012, Jean-Michel HUGO worked on his thesis in collaboration with MOTA cooling system and the IUSTI laboratory on the subject of heat exchangers and their structural optimization. In 2012, he founded TEMISTh, initially a thermal design office, which has since acquired prototyping, testing and manufacturing facilities for thermal systems in niche markets such as aeronautics and aerospace. |
Administrator - Franck DAVID - EDF | |
Franck DAVID, Atomic Engineering Engineer, joined EDF R&D in 1991. His first activities concerned the development and experimental validation of two-phase 3D calculation codes for steam generators and condensers. He then managed a laboratory studying the thermal-hydraulics of the main reactor components, as well as systems and exchangers for industrial and residential applications. His current expertise focuses on new nuclear power development projects (EPR, SMR, etc.), innovative passive safety systems and production cycle cold source technologies. He has taken part in several European projects on sodium reactors, power plant cooling systems and passive safety technologies. |
Administrator - Albert Thomas HAUGG - Haugg Industriekühler GmbH | |
Albert-Thomas HAUGG holds a degree in Engineering from the Universities of Liège and Stuttgart. In the course of his career, he was CEO of Haugg Holding Gmbh from 2008 to 2011, Business Development Manager Europe at Parker Hannifin from 2012 to 2013, CEO of Hennlich HCT GmbH from 2013 to 2016, then New Business Director of the AKG Group and Managing Director of AKG France from 2017 to 2022. Since 2023, he has been CEO of the HAUGG Group. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Fraunhofer-Institut für Mikrotechnik und Mikrosysteme (IMM), Mainz (DE), a member of the PhD committee at the University of Delft (TU DELFT, NL) alongside Prof. COLONNA in the field of thermodynamics, a member of the Société Française de Thermique - SFT (FR) and a member of the Institute of Refrigeration - I.O.R (GB). |
Administrator - Thomas CROIZEAN - NEXSON Group | |
Thomas CROIZEAN, a mechanical engineer specializing in thermal engineering and a graduate of ICAM (Institut Catholique des Art et Métiers), spent 20 years in the world of thermal engineering, first with a major heat exchanger manufacturer, then with his own company, before joining the Nexson Group, which designs and manufactures a wide range of welded heat exchangers, where he is Sales Director. He is involved at both commercial and technical levels, helping customers to optimize their industrial manufacturing processes. Passionate about thermal engineering, Thomas CROIZEAN is involved in the development of new heat exchangers and heat transfer technologies. |

François BILLON, fort de 56 ans d'activités dans le domaine du nucléaire civil, a travaillé successivement chez : Alstom Energie (pompes et turbines) en tant qu’ingénieur d'études ; FRAMATOME (réacteurs 900, 1300, 1450 MWe) comme responsable de la Section Générateurs de Vapeur, puis du Département Ingénierie des Systèmes de Sécurité et de Sauvegarde (RIS, RCV, RRA...) ; USSI-SGN (ingénieries du cycle du combustible de COGEMA maintenant ORANO) comme Chef de la Division Mécanique et Chaudronnerie chez USSI, puis Responsable des Études d'Ingénierie et de Licensing chez SGN (notamment MELOX), puis expatrié 5 ans à Tchernobyl comme Chef du Projet OSAT financé par la CE démantèlement et gestion des déchets solides et liquides). Currently with ONET TECHNOLOGIES (nuclear maintenance equipment, systems and services, including replacement Steam Generators with MHI), as Technical Director and Senior Expert in Reactor Technologies; Engineer in General Mechanics CNAM Paris, Doctorate in Mechanics Applied to Construction Sorbonne-Paris VI, Doctorate in Mechanics and Energy Sorbonne-Paris VI. |

Christophe WEBER - Thermal Engineer (R&D and Design), Ph.D. - General Manager | |
Christophe WEBER has been working with the GRETh team since 2011. As part of his job, he is in charge of responding to GRETh's industrial customers' requests for technical and scientific assistance. In addition to his duties as General Manager, he carries out a wide range of heat exchanger sizing, R&D, expertise and support studies on heat exchangers and industrial thermal systems. He is also a professor at CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers), IFFI (Institut Français du Froid Industriel), ENSIP and UGA (Université Grenoble Alpes), where he teaches courses on heat exchangers. Christophe WEBER also holds a doctorate, the thesis of which concerns the development of advanced methods for analyzing experimental data on heat exchanger fouling phenomena under real operating conditions. |
Thibaut MAZUIR - Thermal Engineer (R&D and Studies) | |
Thibaut MAZUIR joined the GRETh team in January 2019. With a background in industry, having worked as an R&D and design thermal engineer in a company specializing in heat exchangers and thermal systems, as well as in a startup working on the development, design and manufacture of a new heat exchanger technology, he is now in charge of exchanger sizing studies, R&D, expertise and support around heat exchangers and industrial thermal systems. Closely involved in the development of the EchTherm software, he is also in charge of answering questions from GRETh members on the use, advice and operation of the software. |
Quentin BLONDEL - Thermal Engineer (R&D and Studies), Ph.D. | |
Joining the GRETh team in November 2021, Quentin BLONDEL comes from both industrial and academic backgrounds. During his PhD, Quentin worked as a research engineer on the characterization, modeling and optimization of thermal and thermodynamic systems (Organic Rankine Cycles, Turbomachines, Heat Exchangers). In addition to contributing his system vision to the GRETh team, he is also in charge of GRETh's technical and scientific watch, as well as assisting members with their questions on heat exchangers and energy conversion systems. Trained in the EchTherm software and its programming language, he also joins the team to answer questions on its use. |

Grégory MARTINEZ has been an information systems engineer at GRETh since 2003. He develops and manages GRETh's various IT projects. Website design, development and maintenance. Implementation of interfaces for GRETh's various projects. |
