Fives revolutionizes the use of alternative energies ♻️ Fives and Zhonglv Zhongke Energy Storage Technology Co are working together on the largest renewable energy storage project on an industrial scale using liquid air energy storage (LAES) technology. Set to be operational by the end of 2024, the storage unit in Golmud, China, will be able to store 60 MW of solar energy that will supply power to industries and homes in the province. LAES technology is a sustainable and efficient solution for the long-term storage of solar, wind, and hydraulic energies. Fives Cryo, in Golbey, will provide 6 heat exchangers to liquefy the air required to stock the solar energy produced so it can be released at a given time.
