Le mod\u00e8le utilise un m\u00e9lange de corr\u00e9lations empiriques, de discr\u00e9tisation num\u00e9rique et de mod\u00e8les analytiques prouv\u00e9s de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 d\u00e9crire le transfert de chaleur et l\u2019\u00e9coulement de fluides biphasiques dans des \u00e9changeurs de chaleur \u00e0 microcanaux. Le mod\u00e8le inclut actuellement les \u00e9coulements annulaires sous \u00e9vaporation et condensation, les \u00e9coulements \u00e0 bulles en condensation et \u00e9vaporation dans un unique microcannal.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l\u2019\u00e9coulement annulaire sous \u00e9vaporation, le mod\u00e8le  inclut la cr\u00e9ation de patchs de vapeur \u00e0 la surface interne du canal. Le mod\u00e8le a \u00e9t\u00e9 valid\u00e9 avec un large \u00e9ventail de r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux allant de bas \u00e0 hauts d\u00e9bits et de r\u00e9frig\u00e9rants \u00e0 basse et haute pression.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque sous mod\u00e8le a \u00e9t\u00e9 valid\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 des donn\u00e9es exp\u00e9rimentales de  laboratoires s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s. Malgr\u00e9 le fait que ce mod\u00e8le num\u00e9rique ne soit pas une discr\u00e9tisation num\u00e9rique compl\u00e8te des \u00e9coulements biphasiques, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 avec l\u2019id\u00e9e de le rendre robuste, fiable et rapide pour le design d\u2019\u00e9changeurs de chaleur en un temps r\u00e9aliste. Par cons\u00e9quent, il donne acc\u00e8s aux informations locales li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9change thermique telles que : le coefficient de transfert de chaleur en chaque point du micro canal, les donn\u00e9es moyenn\u00e9es sur le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre, les pertes de charge et la charge de r\u00e9frig\u00e9rant n\u00e9cessaire en quelques heures au lieu de quelques jours habituellement. Il est dont particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9 pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019\u00e9change thermique entre deux fluides et peut \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 des syst\u00e8mes plus larges.
