In this thesis, the intensification possibilities offered by helical tubes are studied, both for heat and mass exchangers. The use of helical tubes instead of straight tubes is indeed of interest both in terms of increasing the exchange surface per unit volume between the two fluids circulating in the exchanger and by the possibility of increasing the transfers by generating Dean vortices in the tubes. A set of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) type simulations was carried out and compared with experimental results.
