Cette \u00e9nergie thermique des mers (ETM) peut \u00eatre convertie en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 par le cycle organique de Rankine (ORC). Le faible \u00e9cart de temp\u00e9rature entre les sources chaudes et froides repr\u00e9sente cependant un d\u00e9fi technique \u00e0 la fois pour les transferts thermiques et pour les performances du cycle. L\u2019objectif de cette th\u00e8se est d\u2019explorer les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019am\u00e9lioration du fonctionnement d\u2019un ORC appliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ETM, de compl\u00e9ter les connaissances des composants du syst\u00e8me et de mettre en \u00e9vidence les avantages de cette technologie nouvelle sur un r\u00e9seau non-interconnect\u00e9 comme celui de La R\u00e9union. Les travaux pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s se basent \u00e0 la fois sur des simulations et sur des r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux obtenus sur un banc d\u2019essai de 450 kW thermique nomm\u00e9 le PAT ETM. Dans le premier chapitre, une nouvelle m\u00e9thode de choix du fluide de travail est propos\u00e9e. L\u2019\u00e9tude fait ressortir certains fluides peu consid\u00e9r\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent pour l\u2019ETM. Dans le second chapitre, l\u2019outil exp\u00e9rimental (PAT ETM) est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en d\u00e9tail. Le troisi\u00e8me chapitre dresse le bilan des technologies d\u2019\u00e9changeurs qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9es et caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es. Le quatri\u00e8me chapitre traite de la mod\u00e9lisation dynamique d\u2019un syst\u00e8me ETM.
