Pour cela, la technologie de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rateur \u00e0 caloduc de type thermosiphon a \u00e9t\u00e9 retenue. L\u2019un des points cruciaux porte sur le choix d\u2019un fluide de travail adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 ces niveaux de temp\u00e9rature. Une analyse bibliographique a permis d\u2019identifier le naphtal\u00e8ne comme \u00e9l\u00e9ment de fluide potentiel pour cette gamme de temp\u00e9rature. Cependant le manque d\u2019informations sur son comportement et ses capacit\u00e9s de transport a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un montage fondamental sp\u00e9cifique. Un caloduc thermosiphon charg\u00e9 en naphtal\u00e8ne et de la forme d\u2019un tube inox lisse de diam\u00e8tre 23,9 mm, de longueur 1 m (zone \u00e9vaporateur : 20 cm ; zone condenseur : 20 cm) a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 et test\u00e9. Les r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux obtenus d\u00e9montrent tout d\u2019abord la faisabilit\u00e9 d\u2019un tel syst\u00e8me dans cette gamme de temp\u00e9rature et pour les puissances thermiques envisag\u00e9es. Ils r\u00e9v\u00e8lent un comportement inhabituel du thermosiphon lors des phases de d\u00e9marrage (r\u00e9gime transitoire). En r\u00e9gime permanent, l\u2019analyse a port\u00e9 sur l\u2019influence de la temp\u00e9rature de saturation, la puissance transf\u00e9r\u00e9e ainsi que l\u2019inclinaison. En termes de performances, les conductances thermiques (\u00e9vaporateur, condenseur, syst\u00e8me) augmentent avec la temp\u00e9rature vapeur et diminuent avec la puissance apport\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vaporateur. La puissance transf\u00e9r\u00e9e peut s\u2019\u00e9chelonner de 0,2 kW \u00e0 1,5 kW, soit 1 \u00e0 8 W\/cm\u00b2 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vaporateur. Une faible sensibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019inclinaison a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9e lors des tests (0\u00b0-78\u00b0), un peu plus marqu\u00e9 pour 84\u00b0. Enfin pour une orientation \u00e0 l\u2019horizontale (90\u00b0), le caloduc fonctionne malgr\u00e9 tout et sa capacit\u00e9 de transfert reste \u00e9lev\u00e9e bien qu\u2019\u00e9loign\u00e9e du mode thermosiphon. En parall\u00e8le, un mod\u00e8le de thermosiphon a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 dans lequel les coefficients d\u2019\u00e9changes locaux (\u00e9vaporateur et condenseur) sont calcul\u00e9s par diff\u00e9rentes corr\u00e9lations issues de la litt\u00e9rature. La comparaison avec les r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux a permis de valider les mod\u00e8les physiques retenus avec un bon accord, et de pr\u00e9dire le fonctionnement du caloduc pour d\u2019autres sollicitations. Ainsi et enfin, un premier prototype r\u00e9cup\u00e9rateur \u00e0 thermosiphon au naphtal\u00e8ne a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u, fabriqu\u00e9 et coupl\u00e9 sur la veine \u00ab gaz chauds \u00bb con\u00e7ue et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e aussi au sein du laboratoire.
