Les particules se d\u00e9posent le long des parois et forment progressivement une couche plus ou moins \u00e9paisse supprimant le contact direct du fluide sur la surface interne des conduites. Dans le cas particulier o\u00f9 le fluide est utilis\u00e9 dans un \u00e9changeur thermique, cet encrassement provoque des effets ind\u00e9sirables qui sont la diminution du transfert de chaleur et l'augmentation des pertes de charge.<\/p>\n<p>Une possibilit\u00e9 offerte actuellement par les capacit\u00e9s de calculs des stations de travail, est d'approcher la description de la turbulence par la r\u00e9solution num\u00e9rique directe des \u00e9quations de Navier-Stokes. Moyennant quelques restrictions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'impossibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9crire la totalit\u00e9 des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes turbulents, on peut obtenir une grande quantit\u00e9 d'informations instantan\u00e9es sur l'\u00e9coulement. Ces informations doivent \u00eatre estim\u00e9es par comparaison avec des mesures exp\u00e9rimentales pr\u00e9cises. Les informations sont ensuite utilis\u00e9es pour calculer les trajectoires des particules en suspension et recr\u00e9er ainsi le processus de d\u00e9p\u00f4t de mani\u00e8re num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<p>L'objectif de la pr\u00e9sente \u00e9tude est d'appliquer cette derni\u00e8re d\u00e9marche \u00e0 l'\u00e9tude de la dynamique des particules solides dans les \u00e9changeurs \u00e0 plaques corrugu\u00e9es, en milieu liquide et en r\u00e9gime inertiel (la diffusion n'est pas prise en compte). Les \u00e9changeurs \u00e0 plaques corrugu\u00e9es appartiennent \u00e0 cette cat\u00e9gorie d'\u00e9changeurs \u00e0 g\u00e9om\u00e9trie complexe.
