EUROTHERM Seminar – Physical and Chemical Phenomena in Heat Exchangers and Multifunctional Reactors for Sustainable Technology
10 octobre 2016 - 11 octobre 2016
About Eurotherm :
The EUROTHERM Committee was formed in Brussels on 16 October 1986 following an initiative taken at the 8th International Heat Transfer Conference in San Francisco earlier that year.
The aim of EUROTHERM is to promote and foster European cooperation in Thermal Sciences and Heat Transfer by gathering together scientists and engineers working in specialised areas.
The aim of the seminar is to bring together researchers, academics and practitioners interested in the application area of heat exchangers and multifunctional reactors. The seminar will hold technical oral presentations from recognized academic and industrial experts.
Selected papers will be recommended for publication in international scientific journals.
Scientific Scope : Physical and chemical phenomena in heat exchanger and multifunctional reactor for sustainable technology:
- Fluid mechanics and heat transfer issues
- Mixing and reaction
- Interface phenomena
- Heterogeneous catalysis in heat exchanger-reactors
- Milli- and micro-heat exchanger/reactors
- Mathematical modelling
- Experimental methods
Program : Lectures will be focused on the following topics:
- Heat transfer and process intensification
- Energy efficiency
- Sustainable issues
- Socio-economic analysis
- Environmental impact
- Life cycle analysis
- Dynamic monitoring
- Non-conventional heat exchangers and reactors (biomedical, micro-biological…)
- Non-conventional materials (plastic, metallic foam …)
